Several years later, after Korea's GDP outnumbered Taiwan's, this series of related reports are just being made in March, 2012. How could such blind Taiwan ever gain its rally?
Through these articles, those embarrassing facts have indicated that Taiwan has lost to its rival-Korea with substantial loss in a wide range of industries. However, most Taiwanese still are reluctant to face this setback, but blaming the innocent Korean public for some of their inappropriate opinions regarding traditional culture origins and occasional disgrace in sport field, which are usually brought by Taiwanese media. Oddly enough, the majority of Korean doesn't think as what Taiwanese media had delivered. Those distorted information sent by Taiwanese media not only causes the biases on Korea, but also distract Taiwanese government and films from the attention on rapid Korean development in the first place. With the existence of low-quality media, Taiwan can hardly recognize the true circumstance.
On the other hand, personally, I deem it would be the ancient Chinese characteristic on Taiwanese people that contributes to this result. Unlike the united Korea, Taiwan's power has been divided into many parts, weakening the whole growth. Maybe just as the book-"Ugly Chinese" depicted, Chinese is a self-concerned race. Taiwanese unfortunately inherited this feature with little doubt as most of our ancestors were from the south-east of China. Sadly to say that judging by the factors, such as unknown policy of government and unclear tactics of Taiwanese companies, the future of Taiwanese industries is gloomy. Nevertheless, as one of interviewees mentioned that the strategy of uniting Japan is promising in a way.
Overall, although some Taiwanese companies have already embarked the cooperation with Japanese enterprises. But Korea has literally possessed the favorable criteria doing business with a large number of countries, not to mention the given fact that Taiwan is solely having difficulties with China in politics, while Korea is now one of China's big partners.
